Telegraph Salesperson of the Year joins Advertising.com
Appointments and promotions signify continued growth for the online marketing specialist
Advertising.com today announces the appointment of Richard Robinson (Telegraph Salesperson of the Year 2006) as account manager. In his new role, Richard is responsible for developing and managing the company’s major accounts. Advertising.com has also promoted Carla Cotterell to strategic sales director, while Cameran Harman becomes UK sales director.
As account manager, Richard will oversee relationships with many of the UK’s top advertising and digital agencies. He will also supervise the successful delivery of advertising campaigns in accordance with clients’ objectives.
Prior to joining Advertising.com, Richard spent six years in media sales working across the Telegraph Group portfolio of newspaper and online advertising opportunities. Earlier this year, he was awarded Salesperson of the Year for the successful Telegraph Gardening and the Bayer Garden campaign.
Richard is looking forward to putting his skills to the test on behalf of Advertising.com. He said: “Online is currently the most exciting marketing channel, delivering new ways to engage with customers, drive sales and build brands. Advertising.com is at the forefront of this trend, offering a range of services that enable advertisers to carry out truly profitable online marketing campaigns. I relish the opportunity to play a part in this activity.”
Carla joined Advertising.com in 2003 as an account manager. Her new role as strategic sales director gives her responsibility for developing Advertising.com’s new business strategy across all verticals and EU markets. Her team works with advertisers to help develop their online marketing campaigns.
Carla has ten year’s online sales and marketing expertise, developed with companies including Connextra, Altodigital and Nettec Plc. As such, she is experienced in managing a mix of clients across web, affiliate, search, email and e-commerce projects. She also spent 18 months as appeals director at Hampshire County Cricket Club, where she was responsible for raising £8 million for the creation of the new Rose Bowl stadium.
Working alongside Carla, Cameran leads three sales teams to achieve Advertising.com’s core business growth objectives. He is involved in the development of client and media agency relationships across the business. His aim is to improve quality of service, innovation and deal structure to meet the direct response and branding priorities of the company’s diverse client base.
Cameran joined Advertising.com in March 2001 as UK sales manager and, in total, has 11 years online and magazine media sales experience. This includes previous roles at 24/7 Europe and IPC Media, where he managed a team of classified sales execs driving over £500,000 a month in classified advertising revenue.
Commenting on the expanding team, Mike Peralta, managing director of Advertising.com UK, said: “These recent staff changes demonstrate our continued growth since entering the UK in 2000. As one of the few full service digital marketing companies, Advertising.com is well placed to take advantage of the recent upsurge in online advertising and branding activities. We have recruited a highly experienced and dynamic sales team to help us achieve this objective.
