Account Manager, UK Sales

Overview:

This role represents an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the world’s largest online advertising network. You will be part of a dynamic, highly respected team where we have developed a market wide reputation for very high levels of expertise in all aspects of online marketing.

Job summary:

The Account Manager is responsible for the development and management of the company’s major accounts, the generation of new business through account development and new business pitches. Key to the success of this individual will be the ability to sell new, high-end, and complex products and multi-platform packages across our entire array of solutions. This includes branding, performance, video and behavioural capabilities across the largest reaching display network in the UK, lead generation activity through our “Select Network” (email, co-registration and 3rd party hosted advertising opportunities), search engine marketing solutions through Adlearn For Search.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about selling to high standards to clients and agencies. This role requires an individual with excellent communication skills who can develop strong relationships both externally, with agencies and clients, and internally with our operations, finance and client services teams.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent service and relationship management to clients and agencies.
  • Project manage campaigns negotiating with all parties involved internally and externally to ensure campaigns are executed flawlessly from point of contract to billing.
  • Committed to learning how to use all internal systems and tools required to execute a campaign and to maintain an appropriate level of knowledge of those systems over time.
  • Develop and maintain necessary technical knowledge to be the clients point of contact for troubleshooting.
  • Communicate with the client/agency on campaign delivery and performance supported by a highly skilled back office team.
  • Work with members of the operations team to identify and advance any opportunities to improve performance of campaigns and to generate growth of advertisers.
  • Present business projections, forecasts and other summary reports to satisfy European Management requirements.
  • Proactively seek to advance knowledge of Advertising.com’s entire web, video, search and affiliate opportunities.
  • Provide high-level direct client contact with advertising agencies and clients direct.
  • Cultivate relationships at the highest levels of media agencies, large on-line advertisers and FTSE 1000 companies.
  • Drive revenue through long-term, high revenue contracts.
  • Develop new markets as needed.
  • Deliver highly effective sales presentations, proposals and negotiations.
  • Provide feedback on the rest of the organisation on how to better satisfy client needs.

  • Numerate with a good level of knowledge of MS Office packages, particularly Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.

Education and/or experience

  • Excellent track record in developing relationships with advertising agencies and direct advertisers and winning new business.
  • Strong understanding of strategic selling methods.
  • Candidate must have a level of higher education including a degree or HND.
  • 3 - 5 years plus, sales experience.
  • New business experience essential, particularly within media sales. Experience and expertise in online media is highly valuable, but not mandatory, but candidates will be expected to have a strong passion for online media.
